Spook the Kids and Make This Creepy-Crawly Pizza For Halloween!

Pizza is perfect. It’s that quintessential, can-do-no-wrong food which makes it the ideal candidate for this Halloween-themed recipe – because let’s face it, pizza may very well be the only food people will still eat even when it’s covered in spiders! So if you’re looking for a tasty meal that fits the horrifying season, spook the kids and make this creepy-crawly pizza for Halloween! Here’s what you’ll need:

Ingredients:

  • A ready-made cheese pizza
  • Pitted black olives
  • Shredded cheese

How To Make:

1. Cook your pizza according to the packaging instructions.

2. While your pizza is baking, cut your black olives in half. These will become the bodies of your spiders.

3. To make the legs of your spiders, slice the olives into thin segments lengthwise.

4. Remove your pizza from the oven and space your olive halves around on the melty cheese surface.

5. Put eight olive legs on each of your olive-half bodies.

6. Sprinkle on some shredded cheese so it looks like your spiders are crawling around in it.

7. Bake a few more minutes until the added cheese is melted.

8. Serve with a straight face and see how your kids react!

As an alternative to the creepy-crawly black spider pizza, you can also make individual spider pizzas that are perfect for serving at your kid’s Halloween party! Here’s how:

Ingredients:

  • A ready-made cheese pizza
  • Pitted black olives
  • Green peppers
  • Shredded cheese

How To Make:

1. Cook your pizza according to the packaging instructions.

2. Using a round cookie-cutter, cut out individual circular pizzas which will become the bodies of your spiders.

3. Chop up your peppers into thin slices to make the legs of the spiders.

4. Position your legs around the circular pizza cut out so that four are on one side and four are on the other.

5. Add on some extra cheese which will later melt and help secure the legs to the spider body.

6. Slice the olives widthwise to create the spider eyes. Place two “eyes” on each pizza.

7. Put your pizzas in the oven to melt the cheese.

8. Wait for your spook-tastic spider pizzas to cool before serving!

You and the kids might be creeped out at first, but once you take a bite of your spider pizzas you’ll be eager to grab seconds! Let us see your kids’ reactions to being served up this creepy-crawly creation by snapping a picture or taking a video and sharing it with us on Facebook or Instagram!
